KayLynn Card Shower

Thanks to everyone who participated in the "Card Shower" we had for KayLynn!
It was so much fun!
She was surprised (really).

We decorated the car, made her wear "it's a boy" ribbon in her hair, gave her
lots of fun cards and of course had refreshments!

Andrea even decorated her front door...so cute!

KayLynn is ready.
I'm waiting on pins and needles...
I'm calling her everyday (she's probably sick of me).

I couldn't decide which belly shot I liked better, so I posted both!

She bought a "home from the hospital" outfit and a diaper bag...
(among other things)

Yummy refreshments.
Grandpa bought enough to leave at each house w/ the grandkids.

I hope he comes while I'm there for Christmas...

8 months old today.
If you wonder what I looked like as a baby...look at Miss Avery (ears and all :).

This is another picture for Grandma and the ABC Book-
L (laundry) or I (inside) or B (bucket).
So many choices, but this is a good way to contain a baby while folding/sorting baby clothes.
KayLynn gave me the idea.

This and that....

How can a person be busy in a town as small as Eureka?
I have tons of pictures I haven't posted because I've been "busy" :)
Are you prepared for an overload?
I tried to organize them so they are in some sort of order...
truth is there are a lot of pictures of just randomness.
A picture here...one there...you know how it is.

Category 1: Avery (because she's the littlest)

Naked (almost) and discovering that toes taste really good!

Some feedings go smoother than others.

Caught a cold over Thanksgiving...had her mouth open like this for over a week because she couldn't breathe out of her nose :(

Category 2: Kallie & Sydney (because we love them too :)

Awards ceremony at the Elementary School-
Kallie got straight A's for the first time in her life! We are so proud!!!

Straight A's and Perfect Attendance...and a Citizenship award from one of her teachers because she is a "great example of what a young lady should be". So nice!

Syd too had perfect attendance and was on the honor roll.
She did not want her mother to take her picture-can you tell?
So embarrassing...

The kid in the middle on the front row is cracking me up...

Kallie played on a little city basketball team.
Last game of the season was against the parents...

Category 3: Christmas

We decorated our tree on Sunday while listening to the Christmas Devotional.
Some of us listened better than others...

Thank you Costco for having the houses "pre-built" this year...much easier.

We made them share 1 house so it kind of has a split personality.

Category 4: Peaches (because she's our favorite hairy child)

This is how Peach spends 75% of her day...
lounging in front of the stove. I wish I could join her!

I laugh every time I see this...
If only Peach could tell us what is going on in her brain right at this moment!

Category 5: Finally finished with the rental house in Las Vegas...Hooray!

Went last weekend and got the last of our stuff out and got it all cleaned up.
This is us on the way back to Eureka with our U-haul.


What do you do with a bored baby who has spent WAY too much time in the car over the last couple of weeks?
Give her a Laffy Taffy to suck on of course!

Category 6: The Grand Finale
Our sister-in-law sent us flowers because she is our new insurance agent...I had to snap a few (or 20) photos of the beautiful flowers. Thanks Stacey!!!

Now maybe one day I'll actually get around to changing my blog header...Avery's not even in it.
Sad. She'll never know.

Believe it or not...

I'm actually going to get Christmas cards out this year.
I'm excited. Hopefully I have everyone's addresses!

for putting up with us during our family photo shoot.

are on the card so it won't ruin the fun when you get one in the mail!

The Loot...

I'm a little slow...but I didn't want to leave these out.
This little town is kinda funny (quirky), and Halloween is no exception.
The night was really fun thanks to our friends
the Merritt's who showed us how things work in Eureka on this spooky night.

First we met at our house for taco soup and...

some brains and hands (so cool).

And some mummies (these were a huge hit and will definitely be back next year)!

The weather was perfect (57 degrees)...
these guys were chompin' at the bit and ready to go.
All kids of any age get to go trick-or-treating (teenagers welcome)!

Ann Marie and I rode in the car while the kids RAN from house to house.
Ann Marie knows where everyone lives and gave us a great tour of the town.
Luckily she told me I'd need an extra bag because their buckets weren't even close to being big enough to hold all of their candy (she was right)!
Job security for my hubby I guess :)
This picture does not do it justice...seriously a lot of candy!

Even full size ones..my girls were so excited!
If only I could stop eating them...

Avery (Dorothy) who hung out at home with Dad.
She was just as excited about the candy as Kallie & Syd were.
She loved the crinkly, shiny wrappers!

Such a fun, fun night!
Here we are a week later with snow on the ground and 6 degree temps tonight.
So glad Halloween was last week!
