Ski Lifting

My girl's last request before we move away was to take a ride to the top of Baldy on the ski lift one more time. It was sooooo beautiful! The weather was perfect, the scenery was amazing and we had a great time!

Syd thought it was hilarious that her skirt kept blowing up in the wind. She tried to hold it down, but I'm pretty sure the people coming the other direction got a good view of some princess panties :)

Dan's mom had her knee replaced a while ago and we weren't sure if she would be able to get on and off the chairs as they came around. But she did great and we were so glad they came with us!

Open House

Yesterday we went to Twin Falls for the new Temple Open House.

Sydney asked me why the 'Angel Ramonee' is on all the temples :)

I know the temple is leaning a little, what can I say?!It is such a beautiful, special place and I'm really grateful we got to take our girls inside to see this holy temple.

After the tour I was talking to Sydney and I said, "Wow! Wasn't that so neat! What a beautiful place...what was your favorite part of the temple Syd?" And she said, "The cookie!"

We all know it wouldn't be a proper Mormon function without refreshments at the end :)

Swimming Lessons

Today was Kallie & Sydney's last day of swimming lessons. They had tons of fun and learned a lot. They are really good swimmers and I am very proud of them!

What is it about kids and goggles? I can't get enough...I love it!

Kallie getting ready to dive...
The last day of lessons is just a big party, can ya tell?!

Kallie loved the rock climbing wall, they aren't allowed to get on it except for the last lesson.

I told Syd to go under the water, look at me and SMILE!

Kallie doing the same :)

Here are videos of both girls practicing their belly-flops...I mean dives!

{TOP 5} Tuesday...think positive!

There are some good things about moving (I'm trying to think positive) and here are the 5 best I could come up with...

(1) I made $500+ selling stuff at garage sales.
(2) Nobody expects you to cook a real meal anymore...mac-n-chz, frozen pizza, sure!
(3) The kids play outside more and more because their toys are slowly disappearing (in boxes...mostly :)
(4) Syd picked up a TON of shoes from Jeni's garage sale...that was right before she ran into a parked truck on her bicycle- yikes!
(5) You get to have sleepovers in the TV room watching Hannah Montana 'til you can't stand her anymore because Dad took apart your bed!Have I convinced you all that it's tons of fun so now you want to pack up and move with us?

Catch Up #2- Kamie Day!

June 21, 2008

Every year my aunt Kamie does a day, and when Kamie does...you know it's gonna be good! The day began well...with Syd throwing up (but we'll skip over that part :), with jewelry making. Kallie and Syd have a whole set of glamorous earrings, necklaces and headbands. Everyone at church the next day was admiring their beautiful treasures!

After that a yummy sloppy-joe lunch and then out came the slide of all slides! The kids were going nuts over this one !

Kallie & Joslynn

James and Caden, the crazy maniacs.

Once Ellie got up her courage, she loved it!

Screaming Syd!!!

Couldn't leave this one out (hee, hee)!

Yes, you can thank me for the Ho-ho's and Twinkies :)

Me & my 2 sisters, Andrea & KayLynn.

My grandpa with his cool hat on that the kids thought made him look like a farmer...I'm thinking more like and African Safari guide.

Last, but certainly not least, Bingo! Kamie says the prizes are totally worthless but everyone is pretty dang excited when they get one...I mean really, who doesn't want a flamingo puzzle?!?

And please don't ask me how Kamie escaped all of my photos, but never fear I have one from last year (hee, hee) and Kamie & Peggy both look thrilled that I'm taking their picture :) Next year Kamie WILL not escape me!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! We all had a blast!!!

Catch-up #1- Splash Parks & Milk Shakes!

June 17, 2008- KayLynn and I took the girls up to the splash park, they're fun & free what could be better ! This trip (being the unprepared mother that I am) I didn't bring any snacks or drinks, so it was a pretty quick stop. I'm pretty sure we spent more time driving to and fro than actual play time!

Kallie had so much fun packing Sadie around, she's going to be a great babysitter one day!

The next day (June 18th) we stopped at Shorty's. KayLynn and I ate lunch and the kids got milk-shakes, they were a huge hit!

Photo Assignment: Back Light

The assignment for this week was back lighting, these are pictures of some weeds in the field across the street that I took during sunset. Two days later they chopped the weeds down...kinda sad if you ask me!

{TOP 5} Tuesday...moving company

{Top 5} reasons if I had a spare $7,000 laying around (or an employer who wanted to foot the bill) I would be paying a moving company to move us...

1. Junk- we have a lot of it and I don't want to deal with it.
2. Boxes- you never have enough and they're never the right size.
3. Work- it's a lot of work. I'd rather be at Shorty's eating breakfast (Kara) while someone packs up my kitchen.
4. Furniture- it's heavy (have you seen our dining room table? Dan says it weighs 1,000 lbs).
5. Pain- This is one in my rear :)
and an extra just for fun...
6. Lazy- I am.
