I know I'm totally biased, but I couldn't believe these 3 didn't win the costume contest as the Elementary School! Through my mommy glasses they were BY FAR the cutest kids there :)

Outing...

A couple of weekends ago we decided we better get out while the weather is still nice.
Dan picked a petroglyph site that he thought would be cool and off we went!

The girls weren't especially thrilled about going until Dan bribed them with a campfire and roasted hotdogs.

Be glad you didn't come with us because (as you can see) we forgot to pack cups...
Sydney was so happy we forgot them (she's always wanted to do this).

The bribery worked and hotdogs were roasted!

Avery was happy to be there even without being bribed!!

We set off hiking to find the petroglyphs.
This is what high mountain desert Nevada looks like...

Avery and I turned back early because she was screaming her head off...
Dan and the girls came back not too long after us because they decided they were on the wrong trail. A kind fellow hiker set us straight and we headed down a different road.

The next day I attempted to make rolls from scratch and low and behold-
for the first time in my married life they actually worked!
We had company over for dinner and I was taking photos when they arrived...
I'm glad someone was here with us to enjoy such a momentous event.
They don't know how lucky they were not to be forced to eat the little stones that my rolls usually turn out to be. Aren't they a thing of beauty!?!

I'm torn...the house we're renting doesn't have the greatest lighting.
I don't like using my flash if at all possible, I avoid it like the plague.
I need a photographer to come help me take photos in this house at night (and day).
So sorry if these photos at 3200 ISO make your eyes go buggy.
Grain vs flash...tell me what to do?!

Anyway, tomorrow Avery is 6 months old.
Oh how we love her.
We're trying to help her learn to sit up.
This is what she does most of the time.

Oh- she heard the camera and decided to look up.

This one melts my heart...

Uh-oh...we might have a problem!

And...down she goes. (Insert giggles from Kallie & Syd)

At least there are piles of laundry all around to keep her safe :)

Bookkeeper....

I am my husband's bookkeeper.
Sometimes I'm good at it and sometimes I'm not so good.
(Organizing files from new and old offices at the moment)

Next time someone asks where I work and I say "I don't, I'm just a stay-at-home-mom"
I'm going to show them this picture!

So, so, so grateful to be at home doing this while my baby naps in her crib.
Such a blessing!

My baby...

We made it to "town" today. (Elko)
We were laughing that we sounded like Mary & Laura on Little House on the Prairie.
The girls went to their stake activity day activity.
We ran errands, got the oil changed, renewed our temple recommends, ate fast food :)
We were happy to come back home!

As mentioned before...We picked up rice cereal for Avery.
Sydney fed her, Kallie video'd, and I photo'd.
This child isn't loved is she?! (She loved it BTW)

Love this picture in the bouncer.
I love that her feet don't touch the ground...they just hang.
I know I'm a bad mom...but she was watching Baby Einstein while she bounced (just for a min.).

The guy in the stake presidency challenged us to go to the temple once a month.
Wow! We live far away from the temple.
That will be a good challenge for us!

Seriously?!

I liked Eureka until this happened today...

It might be fun and exciting two months from now.
Sydney couldn't stop smiling and saying, "This is Fun!"
At least one of us is excited :)

We'll just pretend we're back in Bellevue I guess...

The Weekend...

Another weekend gone...
I love conference.
However, I always find myself feeling lonely
(especially during the priesthood session).
I want to be at my mom's with my sisters & all the cousins...maybe next time.

Our weekend started with the 2nd (and final) game of soccer.
They both lost again.
Kallie & another player got tangled up and ended up scoring a goal for the OTHER team.
She says she's not playing soccer next year- they gave her a hard time.

Watching conference.
We may (or may not) have gotten out of our pj's all day.
The girls and I may (or may not) have even left the house for 2 days.
Just look at this sweet baby...

Kallie and Syd fight over who gets to get her out of her crib after naps.
Avery thinks everything the girls do is hilarious (especially Syd).

Both of their faces crack me up!

Sydney does occasionally torment her.
Syd is moving her mouth saying something like..."give me cheetos!"

And our new favorite Sunday night tradition....smores!

Just wait until she gets to taste one!
I wanted to start her on rice cereal this week...
The local "market" doesn't carry rice cereal.
I guess we'll wait until next weekend when we got to Elko :)

Who knows where our roasting sticks are.
No matter...a tree limb works just fine.

I love babies in jammies....all ready for bed!

I think Syd's been a little too cooped up!
We better get out more next weekend.
