As mentioned in my last post...I came home from Utah feeling a little under the weather. Because of this, our suitcases made it as far as the floor in our bedroom and no further. And there they have sat, untouched unless someone needed to dig through them to find some long lost item, for exactly two weeks. Yes, it's true. For two weeks we've walked around them, stepped over them, shoved them to the side and stubbed our toes on them. But I figured that since they are going to be re-packed in one week to head back up to Grandma's house for Christmas...it is high time that they get cleaned out and put away. So today was the day!
Ahhhh...can you hear my sigh of relief. Suitcases gone! (Isn't rental carpet great :)
Last weekend I made a not-so-quick trip to Costco to do a little secret Christmas shopping. I came home with one of their fabulous gingerbread house kits. The girls were thrilled beyond belief and they didn't even complain about dividing the house right down the middle so they could each decorate half. During the celebration Kallie said, "Mom, this is a tradition because we do it EVERY year." I wanted to sing right then and there! I feel like we've moved around so much, and lived in so many places that traditions in the little Norris house are few and far between. I was so happy that in Kallie's mind...we do have one. Thank you Costco!
Kallie's Santa gingerbread man that she, somehow, got to stay on top of the roof!
(Pretend this picture is in focus ok...) Please notice the "PEEPERS" on Kallie's hand. They were selling them at their school for a mere Four Dollars! Kallie told me that her teacher said they used to have them at the dollar store but they don't any more. Hopefully one of their programs at school is benefiting from a $3 profit on each set of peepers. I'm hoping to see some new playground equipment coming soon :) But Kallie & Syd were dying to have some and they did many chores to earn the money for them....as long as they're happy, I'm happy!

Haha. We just made that very same Costco house last night. Hope you are all better!
You definetly inspire me to get up and excercise. If you can run in rain I guess I can run inside=) By the way I love the new pictures in your header and I loved my christmas card!
CHRISTMAS IN UTAH?! SERIOUSLY?! You know I will be there for a full week, RIGHT?!
I know it is a crazy busy time. Our nights are filled to the brim with parties, but my days....well, they are looking promising, if you are available!
CALL ME!!
LOVE YOU!!
Oh, and I might just schedule another 2.5 hour phone session with Carrie every week! :) TOO FUN!
Glad you are feeling better! Glad you have been able to come to Utah and are coming again soon! :) The gingerbread house looks so darling! I love it! We decorated one and by the next day, all the candy was eaten off of it. Oh, I love your Christmas card!! You all look gorgeous! Must be all those sunny days where you are! :) Still haven't gotten my cards done. Don't hate me, k?!
I am glad you are feeling better and that your suitcases have been emptied and put away so you wont stub your toes on them anymore. I am hoping that we can get together again when you come to town. I noticed Amy is coming too. My house can be the gathering place...I would LOVE it.
Glad you finally felt good enough to unpack...looming suitcases are not a pleasant sight, I myself have let them linger a little too long.
Love the Costco Gingerbread House kit! We had fun with ours too. FYI, if you did your Santa shopping more than two weeks ago, A LOT of the toys have been reduced in price. If you go back and the ones you bought have been, they'll give you the difference back. I got $50 bucks back on Thursday night.
Carrie,
This was all ADORABLE! Loved your new pictures!!!

Oh Carrie, I still don't believe you had clothes sitting there that long:) And thanks for telling me you were sick. I would've sent you a sick card instead!!
Glad you're on the mend, hopefully that's it for the season...
