Last week, we were lucky enough to tag along with Dan on a Continuing Education trip he was taking in Manhattan Beach, California. It just happened to fall on the same weekend as Kallie and Dan's birthdays so we decided to go celebrate.
Kallie was thrilled to spend her 12th birthday in Disneyland! It was such a super fun day, perfect really. Kallie's quote of the day was: "That was the best day of my entire life...and I've lived a pretty long life!"
Waiting in the (short) line for It's a Small World.
So excited!!
We just happened upon Pluto with no line..yay!
Completely worn out, but she didn't want to miss anything. Finally she gave up...
Inside the Mickey Mouse House.
The lucky birthday girl!!
Get these things off...
I was so impressed with all the beautiful flowers (we're not in Eureka are we)!
On a steamboat ride.
A very tired Sydney waiting for the parade to start.
"Who's tired? I'm not tired!"
I think the Disney Parades are amazing! Nothing like the Tangled tower driving down the road.
The next day, the girls and I hung out at the beach while Dan was at his class. The beach was only about 5 minutes away from our hotel. Sydney quote of the day as we were heading home from the beach: "I have sand in places that sand should NOT be!"
LOVE this one!
We were also able to stop at the American Girl store again. We went a couple years ago and it was so much fun that we had to stop there again.
Such an amazingly fun trip! We'll probably tag along with him again soon (it's a 4 series class). The only thing holding us back might be the 9 1/2 hr drive (or 11 hours if the freeway is closed because of an accident). Still totally worth it!

I can't believe how tall your girls are! They have grown up so much! What a fun trip!
I spent my b-day at DisneyLand a few years back and it was seriously the funnest! They gave me a button that said "It's my birthday" and they wrote "Megan" under it. So, all day the workers called me by name, and wished me a happy birthday. It was fun to see all the other people there who shared my birthday. Fun times! So glad you went!
Sounds like so much fun. Such cute pictures too.
My kids are begging to go...You're pics are great-you are one brave woman for taking a nice camera out on the beach! Totally worth it tho!
Oh how FuN!! So cute how Avery likes riding on Dan's shoulders. Disneyland is the best and YES! how lucky Kallie was to spend her birthday there...what a great memory for her. Love the beach pictures...they make me want to go back! So happy that you all had such a fabulous time :)
Shayne was dying over the picture of the Tangled castle. She said in a long, drawn out, breathy voice, "oh...my....gosh, it's beautiful." It is beautiful. We didn't see that when we went. It looks like you had so much fun.
It looks like you had so much fun. We are hoping to go next year. Your girls are looking so grown up.
You look beautiful in the picks you actually made it in. Where did Avery get that adorible swimsuit? :) The girls are trying to convince me that Kyle needs to wear his in St. George...Dave's pretty adament (sp). That looks like such a fun trip, it might even convince my hubby.
I loved Disney land. Looks like you did too. Kallie is so tall you better watch out:). She will pass you up
It's a Small World. That ride haunted us for the next month. Whenever there was silence for more than a moment or two, someone would burst into "It's a small world after all!..." Fortunately for us, moments of silence are few a far between. What a fun trip! Happy birthday to Kallie and Dan from all of us!
